Malky Gestetner is an interdisciplinary artist born and raised in Boro Park, Brooklyn. She has always been called to capture the beauty, longing, sorrow, and wonder in the world around her. She enjoys painting and drawing, with a particular fondness for portraiture and dramatic imagery. Her diary entries often take the form of sketches, and her journals transform into short stories. Since her art is an attempt to aesthetically convey the turbulence of her emotions, her pieces often include existential motifs and gothic symbols. Malky also writes poetry and prose, particularly in moody weathers, and a piece of hers was recently published in Promethean.
